Set up the Floodlight Camera in three practical steps.
This is not a battery or solar camera. Plan the installation around a suitable electrical outlet, reliable Wi-Fi, and the included weather-resistant power cable.
Test the outlet and Wi-Fi
Confirm that the planned location is within reach of a suitable outlet and receives a dependable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal. The camera does not connect to a 5 GHz-only network.
Pair the camera in the Toucan app
Download the Toucan Smart Home app, create or sign in to your account, and follow the guided setup while your phone remains connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Mount, power, and test the zone
Secure the camera, route the power cable safely, connect it to the outlet, and test the viewing angle, light, radar detection, motion zone, and alerts.
The Floodlight Camera is powered from an electrical outlet and includes approximately 8 meters of weather-resistant power cable. Follow the product manual and applicable electrical-safety guidance. Use the optional extension cable only as directed for the compatible Toucan Floodlight Camera.

Does the Toucan Floodlight Camera require a monthly subscription?
No required monthly subscription is needed to begin using the camera. The Toucan Free plan includes essential monitoring and one day of video-event history. Optional paid plans provide longer history and additional controls.
Is the Toucan Floodlight Camera battery powered?
No. The Floodlight Camera is powered from a suitable electrical outlet. It is not a battery-powered, solar-powered, or traditional hardwired junction-box floodlight camera.
How bright is the floodlight?
The camera includes an adjustable security light rated up to 1200 lumens, helping illuminate driveways, garages, yards, entrances, and other suitable outdoor areas.
What is radar motion detection?
The camera uses radar-based motion detection to identify activity and send an alert to the Toucan app. Customizable motion zones help focus monitoring on the selected area.
Does the camera include a siren?
Yes. The camera includes a 110 dB speaker and siren. Through the Toucan app, supported controls can also activate the security light and flashing-light response.
How much power cable is included?
The Floodlight Camera includes approximately 8 meters of weather-resistant power cable. A compatible 6-meter extension cable is sold separately for installations that require additional reach.
Does the Floodlight Camera require a hub or base station?
No separate hub or base station is required. The camera connects directly to compatible Wi-Fi through the Toucan Smart Home app.
Does it work with 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
The camera connects to a compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and is not compatible with a 5 GHz-only network. Keep your phone connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi during pairing.
Can the Floodlight Camera be used in rain?
The device has an IP56 weather-resistance rating and is designed for suitable outdoor installation. Follow the product manual for mounting, outlet, cable-routing, and weather-exposure requirements.
Can it be used at a rental, Airbnb, hotel, or inn?
It may be suitable for a permitted and clearly disclosed exterior entrance, parking area, delivery zone, gate, or service area. It must not monitor interiors, private exterior spaces, or neighboring property. Operators must follow applicable laws and platform policies.
